Friends of Quizzing- Ooops! A week late... Sorry! Once again, the presentation for Olympic Memory Challenge certificates brought most of the quizzers to the front to receive rewards. And that handsome, perishable "bribe" to get kids memorizing God's Word is surely the least reward these memorizers will receive. "so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11) It was unfortunate to be short one quizmaster Saturday, but those whom I asked seemed to think the volunteers who stepped up at the last-minute did great. Thanks for understanding. The feedback regarding the 1st Annual "Old Quizzers Never Die, They Just Quiz Out" Exhibition Quiz at the end of the day was also quite positive. I heard a lot of "Go Mom!" and "Go Dad!" from the quizzers in the crowd. We'll of course talk about it next year, but this event may be the first of many to come. And a big THANKYOU to the AB quizzers who served as our officials for the event! Ben- if you ever want a quizmaster job, you're hired. Finally, I'm very encouraged by the questions I am getting about the Chicago tournament. We need to register immediately after next month's quiz meet. Let's gather at the front right after awards in February to put a plan in place. Remember, the quiz program will supply the team registration fees and if there is any individual or family that can't go only because of cost, talk to me or someone on the committee-- we have some scholarship funds that will get you on the road. The February Fellowship Event will be "Noon Brown Bag"-- bring your Subway, Jimmy John, McD or PB&J to the church at noon before the quiz and we'll share lunch together. Chips and drinks will be provided. Have a great "January Thaw" and see you on February 11th! Jim Benson Director Rochester YFC Bible Quizzing P.S. We are way-short on PICTURES!!
